📝 Summary of Genesis:
Creation of the World (Genesis 1-2)
God created everything: light, sky, land, seas, plants, animals, and finally, humans. Everything was perfect! On the seventh day, God rested, showing us that rest is important too.
Adam and Eve (Genesis 2-3)
The first man and woman lived in the Garden of Eden but disobeyed God. Sin entered the world, bringing pain and separation, but God promised a Savior.
Cain and Abel (Genesis 4)
Cain, jealous of Abel, committed the first murder. God showed that our choices have serious consequences.
The Flood (Genesis 6-9)
People became very wicked. God saved Noah, his family, and the animals in the ark. After the flood, God placed the rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise never to flood the whole earth again.
The Tower of Babel (Genesis 11)
People became prideful and tried to build a tower to the heavens. God confused their languages and spread them across the earth.
Abraham’s Story (Genesis 12-25)
God chose Abraham to be the father of a great nation and promised to bless all people through him.
Isaac and Jacob (Genesis 26-36)
Isaac, Abraham’s son, and Jacob, Isaac’s son (whom God renamed Israel), carried on God’s promise. Jacob had 12 sons who became the 12 tribes of Israel.
Joseph in Egypt (Genesis 37-50)
Joseph was sold by his brothers but rose to power in Egypt. He forgave his brothers and saved his family during a great famine.
