The Gospel of Luke is the third book of the New Testament and one of the richest and most detailed accounts of the life, teachings, and miracles of Jesus. It was written by Luke, a Gentile (non-Jewish) physician and companion of the apostle Paul. This book presents Jesus as the compassionate Savior who came for all: the poor, the sick, women, foreigners, and sinners.
Luke also wrote the book of Acts, forming a two-part narrative that begins with Jesus’ birth and continues through the growth of the early Church.
